Puzzle
Jonathan Lawes
A vibrant, energetic print by an artist who continues to explore the full potential of his aesthetic. ‘Puzzle’ came about when Jonathan decided to "have fun with shapes and lots of colours. I’ve made layered prints before (see his ‘Shade’ series, available from Look Up), with a neutral final colour revealing the layers underneath. ‘Puzzle’ does the opposite: a dark colour blocking out parts of the composition so the eye focuses on the colourful shapes. It's almost childlike, but I don't mind that. It gives the piece a joyful feel.” This print comes in a Nielsen aluminium frame (glazed) hand-painted by the artist. "The print's final layer is fairly dark, so I wanted to balance things by adding a pop of teal around the edge."

- Unique state print (numbered 1/1)
- 600mm x 840mm
