If you were familiar with Zoe’s work, and heard that she’d made a print called Tropical Storm, you might have a vague idea as to what it might look like… Even then, you wouldn’t be close to the untrammelled sense of joy exploding across this sheet of Fabriano 5 paper. It's a technicolour wonder – a crowd of geometric characters and architectural forms cavort, jostling for space, dancing, shining their joyous light all over this print-driven festival of the senses. Rhythmic, animated, dynamic, playful… it is, quite simply, a joy. The half-tone elements are from photos of palm trees, blown up and cropped to create texture and depth. Hand-made by Zoe at Wimbledon Art Studios, summer 2021; part of her debut Look Up collection.
