Imperfect Cadence

Bonnie Craig

Each of the twenty squares was printed individually, placed intuitively in response to the previous layer. Bonnie's print "plays with the fractions of colour and shape that are created by chance when translucent squares are arranged in a seemingly random way – almost as if they’ve been thrown in the air. Imperfect Cadence represents that moment of chaos, just before order is restored." Imperfect Cadence was created for our summer 2017 exhibition, Fractions / adventures in printmaking – part of the E17 Art Trail programme.
