Moving from portrait formats to a square, Chaos provides a focused centre for Zoe's free-wheeling compositional experiments – without restraining the innate sense of joie de vivre that unites her oeuvre. The freedom with which she prints is evident here, as layers build up and her tumbling geometry is drawn, magnetically, to an undefined source on the left hand side of the composition. Chaotic? Yep. Mesmerising? Darn right. The half-tone elements are from photos of palm trees, blown up and cropped to create texture and depth. Hand-made by Zoe at Wimbledon Art Studios, summer 2021; part of her debut Look Up collection.
