Say hello to Pick-A-Stick – one of two brand new risograph editions by Kate Gibb launched in late October 2021. With its beautifully balanced composition, Pick-A-Stick is something of a playground for Kate, exploring her love of texture and mark-making. “Risograph is almost like stone lithography, in the sensitivity of the marks it picks up and reproduces,” Kate told me. ”It can be subtle or in your face. Colour is one of the strongest elements in my work, so stripping my ideas back to black and white, removes my comfort zone… challenging me to consider the range of marks I’m making, and explore them to a much higher degree.” Design created by Kate in north London, September 2021.
