Pink

Sophie Smallhorn

From an elegant pair of screenprints exploring the relationships between colour, volume and proportion. Here's Sophie on working with the theme for our E17 Art Trail exhibition. "It's never a chore to work with a theme such as Fractions, as most of my work is about proportion and divisions of an area. With these editions I wanted to work with colour using pattern, as opposed to flat solid colour." Pink is one of a pair of prints created for our summer 2017 exhibition, Fractions / adventures in printmaking – part of the E17 Art Trail programme.
